• carry out visible mending/ embroidery
• hem pants/skirt/dress
• re-attach straps

Registration Info:
No need to sign up beforehand. Everyone is welcome!
The work carried out at the Repair Café is done free of charge on a voluntary basis by the menders available. Repairs are not guaranteed. We won’t be able to help with complex repairs or alterations, but we can refer you to folks who can help.

Alternatives to Violence Program (AVP) Mini-Workshop
April 26 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Location: Arnprior and District Museum
Ages 12+
Arnprior and District Museum invites the community to join in an Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) mini-workshop.
AVP workshops have the goal of empowering people to live non-violent lives through experiential exercises guided by facilitators.
AVP workshops show participants how to navigate conflict, and can give participants a deeper understanding of themselves to make them more empathetic, resilient, and self-possessed members of a community
AVP emphasizes that the participants bring in their own experience to a workshop, the workshop itself does not provide answers on how to grow and solve conflict. The people participating provide that for themselves and for each other through the exercises in the workshop.
Please come out to this important and unique event.
Refreshments provided.
