Event Details:

On December 27, 1942, a troop train slammed into the back of the Pembroke local passenger train just as it was about to leave the Almontre train station.  The sudden and devastating impact of the collision killed almost 40 people and seriously injured dozens more. 

In his new book, author Jamie Bramburger investigates what caused the horrific crash and tells the stories of both the victims and heroes of the crash.
